A hoarding erected by Xiaomi with 'Make in India' logo in the Visakhapatnam airport, followed by a message from Facebook, has sparked speculation that the mobile phone manufacturer China could establish its first plant in India in Andhra Pradesh.
The company, however, did not respond to questions on whether they intended to establish a manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh.

Although the company has not made any official announcement about its plans to manufacture in India, it has a fence with a 'Make in India logo welcome at the airport arrivals of Vishakapatnam.
In the past, Xiaomi has said it is exploring options for manufacturing in India. With this, the Chinese firm will join the list of other smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Motorola and Gionee considering manufacturing in India, where the government is pushing its "Making In India"initiative.
