The largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India country has raised the prices of all its products by up to Rs 9000, except the newly launched premium crossover S-Cross, citing changes in the distributor's margin.
The average increase in the prices ex-dealers, with effect from August 11 through models ranges from Rs 3000 to Rs 9000 said a Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) spokesperson.
The price revision is due to changes in the dealer margin and calibration minor in prices, the spokesman added. The company, which has a share of over 45 percent in the domestic market in the passenger car segment currently sells a range of vehicles from entry-level car Alto 800 premium crossover S-Cross.
