The Space Research Organization of India on August 19 launch of Geo-synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) D6 India conducting latest communication satellite GSAT-6 is scheduled for August 27, he said.

K Sivan, director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre Thiruvananthapuram, had said the cost of the vehicle 2.5 tons would be about Rs 250 crore, adding that it is expected that the launch of GSAT 6 to give a big boost in the field of communication sector in the country.
