A new solid state drive (SSD) presented by Samsung which offers 16 TB storage will probably be able to store 2.5 years of music. The recently launched Samsung 16TB SSD is surrounded by 48 layers containing 500 flash chips 256GB / 32GB NAND. Samsung SSD 16 TB can store about 3 million MP3 files, over 4,000 films and nearly 5 million digital photos.
Samsung also claims that the portable 2.5-inch hard drive has 120 times more storage capacity than an entry level MacBook Pro or MacBook Air. No official announcement about 16TB SSD Samsung PM1633a yet. However, press reports indicate that the new drive will be priced below 5,000 € (approximately below 50,000 rupees).
