While accolades have been pouring in from all quarters of the latest version of Mahesh Babu, Srimanthudu, the greatest recognition came from the father of the actor, Superstar Krishna. "This is the best film Mahesh career. I've never seen him perform better," the septuagenarian matinee idol. And Mahesh Babu is more than happy. "Could not have asked for a better birthday present. This is one of the happiest days of my life. I've been impressed with the response from the public," says an excited Mahesh for once played a character with no trappings of a super star in the film.
"I could relate to the plight of the protagonist, Harsha, who finds happiness in helping to make the lives of the poor of their best people. It is one of my most heartfelt performances and feels great to know that the audience applauded her "says Mahesh.
